For transmission and distribution of electrical energy.
An autotransformer is a transformer with a special connection of its windings that allows, in certain applications, to obtain a more compact and economical machine for the same power and nominal voltages. These advantages are especially verified when the transformation ratio is close to 2:1.
This particular solution requires special care in the design stage regarding supportability against transient phenomena of overcurrent and overvoltage, typical of autotransformers.
Power: Up to 200 MVA
Voltage: Up to 245 kV
Manufacturing and testing standards: IEC 60076 / IEEE C57.12.00 / IRAM 2099
Voltage regulation: On-load or off-circuit
Refrigeration: ONAN, ONAF, OFAF, ODAF, OFWF.
Cooling insulating fluid: Mineral oil, natural ester oil (biodegradable), synthetic ester oil (biodegradable).
