NEWS. Tubos Trans Electric exports to Paraguay - 01/09/10
Tubos Trans Electric (TTE) has been selected by the
Administración Nacional de Energía (ANDE), Paraguay's state owned power company, as the successful bidder, after two separate international public biddings, to supply 9 power transformers, rated 220 kV, and 2 reactors.
The amount of the operation exceeds USD 8 million. The equipment has a high added value and its average price is USD19,000 per ton.
The transformers will contribute to the permanent expansion of Paraguay's electric power system in accordance with ANDE's strategic plan for the period 2006-2010. This plan includes, among others, an investment component to finance eight high priority projects for 220 kV and 66 kV transmission lines, 16 transformer substations, and multiple works on primary and secondary distribution networks related to the transmission and transformation works.
This operation, framed within TTE's strategic plan to expand its presence in the international markets, reinforces the long-term business commitments with ANDE and guarantees the company's growing process, simultaneously compensating for the strong fall in demand from the Argentine market.
