Under the slogan "Integrating knowledge to create value", the Latin American Congress on Grease and Oil was held from November 1st through November 6th, 2009 in Rosario.

The concern for the environment was a special chapter of this event and several conferences highlighted how this increasing concern is mentioned in all industries. The topic "Emerging Technologies" gathered presentations describing alternative uses for vegetable oils, among which the development presented by Tubos Trans Electric and CEPROCOR (MINCyT - Province of Córdoba) "Obtaining biodegradable dielectric refrigerant fluids (FDRbio) for their use in voltage transformers" was mentioned, generating great interest among the public.
