Tubos Trans Electric (TTE) was awarded through a public bid the supply of two 161 kV power autotransformers by an agency of the U.S. Department of Energy.
The sum involved in the transaction amounts to approximately USD 2 million and includes the supply and installation of a 200 MVA - 161 / 138 / 13.8 kV autotransformer at the Eufaula Dam Substation in Oklahoma and a 70 MVA -161 / 69 / 13.8 kV autotransformer at the Paragould Substation in Arkansas. Both pieces of equipment have already been shipped heading Houston's port and will be installed in December by company staff.
Since this was the second export operation achieved with this client, TTE strengthens its bonds with it as well as its foothold in the US market, thus increasing its presence in foreign markets.
