NOTICIAS. Training Seminar - Prof. Dennis Allan - 11/18/2010
Last November 18, Tubos Trans Electric organized in conjunction with its major customers a seminar on Transformers' Useful Life Management, Failure Analysis, and Gas Chromatography interpretation criteria, among other topics.
The seminar was conducted by internationally renowned Professor Dennis J. Allan, member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E.), member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMECHE), former Chairman of IEC TC14 (transformers) and IEC SC 36A (bushings), Director and Technical Manager of GEC ALSTOM T&D Transformers Limited, Stafford (1987-1997), and technological advisor to the company since 2005.
With the invaluable contribution of more than 25 attendants, the majority of whom were top executives from important companies engaged in electric service exploitation, such as TRANSENER, EDENOR, EDESUR and Generacián Mediterránea, among others, an interesting exchange of opinions took place regarding certain issues considered critical to the operation and maintenance of transformers. Informational material of most varied content was also handed out.
The setting chosen to host the training seminar was Estancia El Rosal, a ranch near the town of Agua de Oro, which provided a more relaxed environment for Prof. Allan's lecturing and a most pleasant opportunity for reunion among the many attendants in an atmosphere of great comradeship that exceeded by far the expectations of the meeting's promoters.
By organizing this training seminar, TTE ratifies its commitment to its customers not only in offering first-quality products but also in providing training programs tailored to their needs.
